I love an awesome family photography session! Even better when the family are returning clients and very dear longterm friends. View their newborn lifestyle session here. When clients know and trust their photographer, the results generally speak for themselves. People, I’m as much about how clients FEEL during their session as the end result- the photos.

The right client/ photographer relationship = the best images. People relax and ease into their session, little people chill after a while and start smiling at the little blonde lady with the big camera because they realise Mum & Dad are into it so everything must be ok! This takes time and the building of rapport if you’re new to each other (which is why I urge clients to become familiar with their photographer and the way they work before their session if possible).  When you have this already, it’s just a joy.

Jarrad and Jaymie recently moved their little clan interstate after tiring of the “FIFO” lifestyle (can’t say I blame them!) Before they departed, we found the time to squeeze in some updated family pics, including Jarrad’s folks. It was a fun evening chasing busy Miss Maddie around the playground and taking my opportunities for some family group shots as they presented themselves along with many beautiful photojournalistic shots of them just as they were that day. Little brother Sebastian “Bash” was a most stylish, dapper little dude and gave me some gorgeous grins :D

I am beyond ecstatic to know that Jaymie is already planning to get some of these up on canvas and adorn the walls of their new home. These moments in our lives are so, so precious. They are your family’s visual history, the telling of your stories through imagery, for you and ongoing generations of your family to enjoy.
