I absolutely love the Barossa Valley. I also love Maggie Beer’s ‘The Farm’ so was thrilled to be asked to capture the wedding of Anthony & Amanda there in March.
Lots of special personal touches and a great deal of effort went in to the organisation of this day, and one of my greatest pleasures is capturing all of the little details to assist in telling the story. The cufflinks in particular gave me a giggle! The things you or your family and friends might forget as time goes by. The bride & groom were super- relaxed on the day making the experience of documenting it all truly a pleasure.
Standout moments would include the couple’s choreographed first dance as husband and wife, to James Morrison’s “I won’t let you go” one of my favourite songs. The bride’s teal- green Converse sneakers worn for her first dance ensured her comfort :) Also Amanda’s dance with her father to “I loved her first” by Heartland.
I think it’s safe to say everyone had a fabulous time. The Farm is now run by sisters Elli and Saskia Beer and the catering was magnificent. The photo booth also got a workout, and yes I may have ended up in there more than once!!
Stay tuned for photos of their beautiful flush mount wedding album which is in the works- this is an absolute highlight of my job and I adore giving my clients beautiful, customised heirloom memories of their day :D
