Meet Michelle

I was born asking questions, seeking things out, listening and always watching. I remain that curiously observant today. A great lover of stories. I think of myself as part visual historian, part storyteller. That is what photographs have always represented to me. I live for documenting life, unobtrusively and authentically.

Obsessed with images from as far back as I can remember, my family and friends will recall a little blonde girl perched on the floor poring through photographs in rapt attention. My grandmothers would tell me stories of people and times gone by and this instilled a love of genealogy and history that has never left me. What images could tell me about a person, about that moment in their life was so richly rewarding that I knew one day I too would photograph people and the world around me and call it my work.

Hi I’m Michelle, a little lady who loves to tell people’s stories in my own unique, visual way. My approach is all about the relationship I develop with you as my clients. I don’t want to feel like a stranger when I photograph you, I want you to feel free to be yourselves, resulting in gorgeous, honest images. Nothing delights me more than clients who return for multiple sessions and who become more like friends to me. I love laughter and candour and try to incorporate this in everything I do. I adore natural portraiture with a photojournalistic leaning and intimate weddings showcasing the couples’ individuality.

I hold a Certificate IV in Photoimaging and I am an AIPP Accredited Professional Photographer. I’m based in Adelaide, South Australia.

When I’m not behind the camera, you will find me caring for women and their families as a Midwife and raising my own lovely daughter. For more about me, please see “things I love”.

I look forward to meeting you!
