As a photographer, there are some shoots where the elements just come together and you know you’re on a winner. The Wheaton family had returned for some updated outdoor family lifestyle photographs with their new and gorgeous cherub Hudson. See big brother Archer’s super- fun cake smash here. As they all got out of the car I nearly did a happy dance upon seeing that their clothing choice would perfectly compliment the colour palette in my chosen location! Awesome. The universe was at work that day (fellow photographers will understand) :D

This family are chilled out and just delightful. Their happiness is evident as their smiles cracked open their faces during the hour I spent with them. Sometimes, they were interacting with me, but mostly with each other, which is how I obtain my favourite images every time. A few shots smiling right at me is great for the wall and gifts for grandparents and other family members. The telling of their story that day, and the real magic, occurs with the images where they are unaware of me. They trusted implicitly, my vision and ability to create for them something unique and special and for that I cannot thank them enough.
